Contributions
Her clinical work covers urinary tract reconstruction and urinary diversion, urethral stricture, incontinence and voiding dysfunction in cancer survivors. Her cited studies come from the Duke male incontinence series.1
- Salvage after male sling failure (2015). Led a review of 61 men with persistent post-prostatectomy incontinence after a failed primary sling: those who received a second transobturator sling were up to 6 times more likely to remain incontinent than those who received an artificial urinary sphincter.3 Cited on WARWIKI: Male Urethral Slings.
- Leak point pressure and transobturator sling success (2022). Led a study of 290 men treated with a male transobturator sling in which a preoperative Valsalva leak point pressure above 70 cm H2O halved the hazard of failure.4
