Her research includes sister-pair studies of parity and pelvic floor disorders, vaginal reconstructive surgery under local anesthesia with sedation, and intraoperative cystoscopy dyes.4567

  • Urinary incontinence in nulliparous women and their parous sisters (2005). Led a study of 143 postmenopausal sister pairs in which urinary incontinence was reported by 47.6% of nulliparous and 49.7% of parous sisters, with high concordance of continence status within pairs.4
  • Local anesthesia with sedation for vaginal reconstructive surgery (2006). Led a series in which 98 of 127 candidates chose local anesthesia with sedation for prolapse operations including colpocleisis and LeFort procedures; none required conversion to general anesthesia.5
  • Anaphylaxis after intravenous fluorescein for cystoscopy (2018). Senior author of a case report of anaphylactic shock after intravenous sodium fluorescein given to assess ureteral efflux during urethrolysis and cystoscopy.7 Cited on WARWIKI: Sodium Fluorescein, Intraoperative Visualization Agents.
