  1. Gomez RG, Campos RA, Velarde LG. "Reconstruction of pelvic fracture urethral injuries with sparing of the bulbar arteries." Urology. 2016;88:207–212. doi

Bulbar artery sparing in pelvic fracture urethral injury repair (2016). Described mobilizing the bulb from one side to preserve at least one bulbar artery during anastomotic repair; all 26 patients were voiding normally and stricture free at a mean follow-up of 20 months. His 2025 long-term series of 127 vessel-sparing non-transecting posterior repairs reported 95% success at a median of 43 months, with no cuff erosion in the 14 men who later received an artificial urinary sphincter.P2

Timing of delayed posterior urethroplasty (2018). Senior author of a 39-patient series in which repair at 6 weeks or sooner after pelvic fracture urethral injury had failure, incontinence and erectile dysfunction rates similar to repair at 12 weeks or later.
