Excision and primary anastomosis in the proximal bulb (2010). Led a single-surgeon review of 112 bulbar urethroplasties: all 72 proximal bulbar strictures were treated by excision and primary anastomosis with 1 recurrence (1.4%), and among intermediate-length strictures recurrence was 3.0% after excision and primary anastomosis vs 38% after graft repair.

Urethral rest before anterior urethroplasty (2011). Of 128 anterior urethroplasties, 28 men first had a median 3 months of urethral rest after recent manipulation; 75% then underwent focal or complete excision, and recurrence (14%) was similar to the rest of the cohort (10%).
