McCall-type culdoplasty performed via an abdominal approach at the time of abdominal hysterectomy, plicating the uterosacral ligaments and posterior peritoneum to suspend the vaginal cuff and prevent enterocele. Abdominal equivalent of the vaginal McCall's; incorporates apical support into abdominal hysterectomy for POP.
